Meesho Seller Registration (2026): Step-by-Step Guide, Documents and GST
By Javed, founder of Javedify, a Mumbai agency that manages Meesho, Amazon and Flipkart seller accounts. Last updated October 2026.
Meesho seller registration is free and done online at the Meesho supplier panel (supplier.meesho.com). You enter your mobile number, add your business and GST or enrollment details, add a bank account, upload your documents, and list your first products. Approval usually takes 24 to 72 hours when your documents match. Register only on the official portal, because you never need to pay anyone to open a Meesho seller account.
This guide explains Meesho seller registration step by step: who can register, the documents you need, how GST works, what to do if you have no GSTIN, why registrations get rejected, what Meesho costs, and what to do after you are approved. Details were checked against several seller guides in October 2026, and where sources disagree we say so, because Meesho can change its rules. Always confirm the final requirement in your own supplier panel.
Meesho Seller Registration Checklist: Keep These Ready
Most registrations fail or slow down because of small mismatches, not big problems. Before you open supplier.meesho.com, tick every item:
- A mobile number you will keep long term, because it becomes your login and receives order and payment alerts
- An email inbox you actually check
- Your PAN card
- Your GSTIN, or your Enrolment ID if you plan to register without a regular GSTIN
- Bank account number, IFSC code and a cancelled cheque or passbook
- A pickup address a courier can find, with a landmark
- Your legal name written exactly the same on PAN, GST and bank records
- One clear product photo and a title and price for your first listing
Who Can Register as a Meesho Seller?
- An individual, a partnership firm or a private limited company
- Someone with a valid PAN card
- A seller with a pickup address where couriers can collect orders
- A seller with a bank account in the individual's or the business's name
- A seller who sells products Meesho allows. Some categories, such as food, need extra licences.
You do not need a shop or a warehouse. Many sellers start from home with a small stock, as long as there is a pickup address.

Meesho Seller Registration Step by Step
- Open the supplier panel. Go to supplier.meesho.com and click to start selling. Register yourself on the official portal. Registration is free, so you do not need to pay anyone to register.
- Enter your mobile number and verify the OTP. Use the number you want to use for orders and alerts. Never share your OTP with anyone.
- Add your email address and create a password. WareIQ says the password needs at least 8 characters with an uppercase letter, a number and a special character. Your account stays in draft until you finish, so you can come back later.
- Enter your tax details. Add your GSTIN, or your enrollment ID if you are registering without a regular GSTIN. Meesho checks the details against the GST portal.
- Set up your business identity. Choose a store name. It is shown to buyers, so pick it carefully, and make the business name match your GST certificate.
- Add your pickup address. Enter an address where couriers can collect orders.
- Add your bank details. The account holder name should match your registration. Meesho can verify the account with a small test deposit.
- Upload your documents. Use clear scans. Blurry or cropped images cause delays.
- Wait for verification. Approval usually takes 24 to 48 hours. A name mismatch can send your account to manual review, which takes longer.
- List your first products. Robnu says your account activates only after a valid first listing is uploaded. Once your first catalogue passes Meesho's checks, your account goes live. One undated guide says products take about 72 hours to go live after cataloguing.
Only Register on the Official Portal
Register only at supplier.meesho.com or in the Meesho Supplier Hub app. Do not register through third-party links, and do not pay an agent to open the account for you. Registration is free, and nobody from Meesho will ask for your OTP.
Meesho Seller Registration and GST: What the Rules Say
GST is the most confusing part of Meesho seller registration, because guides do not fully agree.
- With a regular GSTIN. This works for selling across states, and it lets you claim input tax credit on purchases.
- Without a GSTIN. Some guides say sellers with turnover below ₹40 lakh can register with a GST enrollment ID and sell only within their own state, in categories that allow it.
- Some guides say a GSTIN is mandatory for everyone, so rules may differ by category and may have changed.
- Restricted categories. Categories such as electronics or food may need a GSTIN even when others do not.
- Enrolment ID limits. Robnu says this route is only for eligible categories and that you cannot sell taxable goods on it. It also says you can add a GSTIN later to open more categories.
- Turnover limits. Unicommerce says an Enrolment ID seller can continue until annual net sales, including sales outside Meesho, pass ₹40 lakh (₹20 lakh in some states), after which a GSTIN is mandatory.
If you register without a GSTIN, WareIQ says you need a valid PAN, a bank account in your or your business's name, and address proof such as Aadhaar or a utility bill. Because the sources differ, check the tax step inside your supplier panel for your category, confirm your category position on the GST portal, and ask a chartered accountant before you decide. The enrollment ID route is described in Gonukkad's document guide.
Meesho Seller Registration Without GST: Steps
- Apply for an enrollment ID as an unregistered supplier on the GST portal.
- Go to supplier.meesho.com and enter your mobile number.
- When Meesho asks for tax details, choose the option that says you do not have a GSTIN.
- Enter the enrollment ID from the GST portal.
- Add your payment and courier pickup details.
- List your products. Sales may be limited to customers in your own state.
This route may not be available for every category or for sellers whose turnover is above the limit, so confirm it in the panel first.
How Long Does Meesho Seller Registration Take?
Robnu says approval typically takes 24 to 72 hours from the moment you submit a complete application, and other guides say 24 to 48 hours or "a few days". Treat 1 to 3 working days as the normal range when documents are clear and names match. Delays of a few days to a week or more are common if the name on the GST certificate does not match the bank account, the GSTIN is newly issued, or the images are unclear.
What to Do If You Wait More Than 3 Working Days
Log in to the supplier panel first and check for flagged fields, such as a name mismatch or a missing document. Fix them, then raise a support ticket if the status does not change. Raising a ticket before you check the panel often just repeats the same question.

Fee figures from Ginesys and SW Cybernetics' seller account guide and Meesho seller guide. SW Cybernetics sells onboarding services, so treat its figures as a guide. Meesho changes fees and rules during the year, so check the fee calculator and policies in your supplier panel before you set prices.
When Will You Get Paid?
Guides disagree on payout timing: one says every 7 days after delivery, another says a T+15 cycle. Treat 7 to 15 days after delivery as the likely range, and check your panel's payment section for the exact cycle.

Panel sections follow WareIQ's Meesho seller panel guide, so names may differ slightly in your panel. WareIQ also says frequent order cancellations may affect your seller rating, and that the "Breaching Soon" flag shows orders close to breaking a platform rule, so fix those first.
After Registration: Your First Meesho Listings
- Use your own photos. Stock photos copied from supplier sites can trigger duplicate checks.
- Follow the image rules in your panel. Guides quote minimum sizes from 450 × 600 up to 2000 × 2000 pixels, so check the current rule for your category. White or neutral backgrounds, no watermarks and no text overlays are common requirements.
- Write clear titles and descriptions. Include fabric, colour, size, fit and measurements where they apply.
- Choose the correct category. The wrong category hurts visibility and can cause rejection.
- Price carefully. Count shipping, returns and any payment charges, so you still make a profit.
- Start with a small catalogue. A few strong listings beat many weak ones. Unicommerce suggests 5 to 7 catalogues in the first few days.
- Pack without branding. WareIQ says products must be packed without your own branding, so check the packaging rules in your panel.
- Keep proof. Record a packing video and keep product images, in case you need to raise a dispute.
First-Month Rules to Follow
According to one guide, new sellers should dispatch orders within 24 hours, update tracking promptly and use Meesho's approved logistics, because late dispatch and late tracking can lead to cancellations and penalties. Read the current seller policy in your panel, because these rules can change.
Common Mistakes in Meesho Seller Registration
- Using different names on PAN, GST and the bank account
- Uploading blurry or partial documents
- Choosing a store name you cannot keep
- Opening more than one account on the same GSTIN
- Copying product photos from other sellers or websites
- Pricing without counting shipping and returns
- Paying an agent to do a registration that is free
